At the age of twelve, he was admitted<\/p>\n to the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in Beijing where he studied with<\/p>\n Jianqin Fan and Yiming Pan. Mr. Sun received his Bachelor of Music from Aaron<\/p>\n Copland School of Music and Masters of Music degrees from Manhattan School of<\/p>\n Music where he studied with Morey Ritt, Constance Keene and Solomon Mikowsky.<\/p>\n He also studied with other eminent artists such as George Pappastavorro, Arkady<\/p>\n Aronov and Lydia Bugosluvsky. As a winner of numerous awards at competitions<\/p>\n held in China and U.S, he has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in concert<\/p>\n halls including Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall,<\/p>\n Beijing Concert Hall, Guangzhou People\u2019s Theater and Shandong Theater. Mr. Sun<\/p>\n holds many master classes in Shandong, Guangdong and Zhejiang in China, and his<\/p>\n students win top honors at many national and international competitions. Mr. Sun was<\/p>\n an Associate Piano Professor at China Conservatory of Music in Beijing from 2004 to<\/p>\n 2016. Besides teaching, Mr. Sun frequently judged international competitions such as<\/p>\n \u201cThe First Asia-Pacific International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition\u201d in Korea,<\/p>\n \u201cThe Fourth Steinway National Youth Piano Competition\u201d in China and \u201cThe Third<\/p>\n Goodway International Youth Piano Competition\u201d in China. Since 2008, Mr. Sun has<\/p>\n been a member of the faculty at Summit Music Festival, New York where he teaches<\/p>\n both piano and chamber music. He is a co-founder and Chief Inspector of Goodway<\/p>\n National Piano Competition in Hangzhou, China. In 2015, he co-founded and became<\/p>\n a co-director of the International Music Performance Exchange program of The Aaron<\/p>\n Copland School of Music at Queens College.
