text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; background_color=&#8221;rgba(0,0,0,0)&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Declaring a Minor in Political Science<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>All students wishing to minor in political science must fill out a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qc.cuny.edu\/academics\/ps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/60\/2023\/01\/Minor-Concentration-Form.pdf\">Minor Concentration Form<\/a>, have it approved by a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1qpZPAgiY5tPXOVGAJIckrL9Cjw7DR5PHsJvv7HNLmdM\/edit\">Political Science Faculty Advisor<\/a> and submit the approved form to the department office <span style=\"color: #000000\"><em><b>prior<\/b><\/em> to applying for graduation<em>.<\/em><\/span> <strong><em>The department will not approve students for graduation without this form<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; text_font=&#8221;Open Sans||||||||&#8221; text_text_color=&#8221;#000000&#8243; text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; background_color=&#8221;rgba(0,0,0,0)&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Minor Requirements<\/strong>:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Students should take at least 18 credits in political science, including:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li>Two of the following introductory courses: American Government and Politics (PSCI 100); Principles of Political Science (PSCI 100); Current Political Controversies (PSCI 102); Comparative Politics (PSCI 103); International Politics (PSCI 104); and Political Theory (PSCI 105).<\/li>\n<li>Four 200-level elective courses.\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>PSCI 200 and\/or a seminar are not required, but may be taken for credit towards the minor.<\/li>\n<li>For a full list of courses, view the <a href=\"https:\/\/qc-undergraduate.catalog.cuny.edu\/departments\/PSCI-QC\/courses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PSCI course catalog<\/a>.\u00a0For a more complete picture of your academic journey, check out the\u00a0<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.qc.cuny.edu\/aac\/degree-programs-maps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academic Program Maps<\/a>\u00a0from the Academic Advising Center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Transfer students who plan to major in political science may use <em><strong>up to 6 transfer credits<\/strong><\/em> towards the minor, regardless of the number of political science credits earned at other institutions.
