NEW RF Personnel OnBoard System!<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Research Foundation has activated its new OnBoard Personnel System.\u00a0The system will electronically take over nearly all your hire\/rehire packet needs. NSF will issue a new PAPPG in January 2020; a new biosketch format will be required for all submissions after January 1, 2020. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has designated the National Institutes of Health\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>SciENcv<\/a>\u00a0(Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) as an\u00a0approved format for submission of biographical sketch(es) and encourages its use for preparation of a biographical sketch for inclusion in proposals to NSF.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In accordance with the current\u00a0Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(PAPPG) (NSF 19-1), a biographical sketch (limited to two pages) is required for each individual identified as senior personnel on a proposal, and a separate biographical sketch PDF file, or other NSF-approved format, must be uploaded in FastLane for each designated individual (see\u00a0PAPPG Chapter II.C.2.f.<\/a>). These biographical sketch and file format requirements also apply to NSF proposals submitted through Research.gov and Grants.gov.<\/p>\n

NSF-approved formats provide proposers with a compliant and reusable way to maintain information for subsequent proposal submissions to NSF, while ensuring that the information is submitted in a searchable composition. Use of an approved format reduces administrative burden and improves efficiencies. <\/p>\n

Beginning with the next iteration of the PAPPG (anticipated effective date, January 2020), NSF will only accept PDFs for biographical sketches that are generated through use of an NSF-approved format. A description of NSF-approved format(s) will be posted on the NSF website when the PAPPG is issued. A draft version of the PAPPG was published in the\u00a0Federal Register<\/a>\u00a0for public comment. The deadline for submitting comments is COB July 29, 2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
