Second Annual Science and Arts Symposium<\/em><\/h4>\n

On June 12th 2015,\u00a0nine-hundred students from 28 elementary schools across NYC\u00a0participated in the Second Annual Science and Arts Symposium at Queens College. The participants presented their\u00a0projects and\u00a0class adventures\u00a0before the\u00a0Into the Woods<\/em>\u00a0community.\u00a0Subjects including weather, soils and soil fertility, waters and water quality, pond-invertebrates,\u00a0plants and phenology, and local habitats were brought to life\u00a0using creative and novel approaches\u00a0illuminating earth systems and the\u00a0environment. The Second Annual Science and Arts Symposium was featured\u00a0by GLOBE Stars, an international\u00a0publication highlighting students and classes engaged in extraordinary learning experiences.<\/p>\n

First Annual Science and Arts Symposium<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

On May 9th, 2014, students from elementary schools across NYC participated in the First Annual Science and Arts Symposium at Queens College. The participants presented their projects and class adventures before the Into the Woods community. The students also received tours of the Queens College campus and got to see a performance of several science experiments conducted by Queens College science students.
