By enhancing your major with an Urban Planning minor, you will explore a broad range of topics including transportation planning, land use planning, economic development, environmental sustainability, community organizing, housing policy, and many others. In addition, you will learn and apply valuable skills including working with geographic information systems (GIS), policy development, and public problem-solving techniques.<\/p>\n<p>The Urban Planning minor is ideal for students who aim to pursue careers in urban planning, housing and economic development, civil service and government, community and neighborhood development, and nonprofit organizations. The minor also prepares students for advanced or graduate studies in Urban Planning or related fields.
