From routine maintenance and emergency repairs to large-scale renovations and sustainability initiatives, our mission is to support the campus community and enhance the environment where students, faculty, and staff thrive.<\/p>\n Whether it\u2019s a leaky pipe, a landscaping project, or a classroom upgrade, we\u2019re here Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, ready to help. Scroll down to meet the team that keeps Queens College running \u2014 one building, one project, and one work order at a time.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.24.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Open Sans||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Denese Gordon, Interim Assistant Vice-President for Facilities Planning & Opertions<\/strong> [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.24.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Open Sans||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Ms. Gordon is responsible for all B&G administrative related services such as: B&G Help desk, budgeting, purchasing, employee time-keeping, contractual services, special projects, signage, furniture specifications, orders, delivery, installation and storage.<\/p>\n Ms. Gordon is also responsible for collaborating with the Office of Facilities, Design, Construction and Management (FDCM) to interface, monitor and manage all capital and major construction projects at the College to successfully coordinate and complete all internal renovation projects. In addition, she supervisors our carpentry work force which handles all minor to larger scale renovation projects \u2014i.e., restrooms, room conversions, simple replacement of and\/or new door installations, and all cabinetry work. She also supervisors Management of the Electricians and campus electrical services and Elevator mechanic and systems; Physical Plant equipment and its control systems.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.24.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Open Sans||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Praim Amarjit,\u00a0Assistant Director;\u00a0Superintendent Office of Buildings & Grounds; Maintenance Services<\/strong> [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.19.2″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Open Sans||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Mr.\u00a0Amarjit is responsible for all B&G maintenance related services such as: Management of the energy usage, Maintenance workers, Auto mechanic and our Laborers whom are charged with maintaining our campus grounds, landscaping and snow removal, and handling of all moves, events and set-ups. Mr. Amarjit is also responsible for coordinating all Housekeeping and Exterminating Services.
