Soniya Munshi<\/h3>\n

Director and Associate Professor of Urban Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Soniya Munshi has over two decades of experience working with critical, feminist, and ethnic studies pedagogies in classroom and community settings. Dr. Munshi has designed and led faculty development seminars, trainings, and workshops that take up questions of belonging, equity, and social justice in educational contexts as well as supported faculty with instructional technologies, open educational resources, and related pedagogical needs. She serves as the Faculty Advisor for the Asian American Community Studies program in Urban Studies, co-Director of the QC AANAPISI Project (QCAP), and an Affiliate Faculty in the Critical Psychology program at the Graduate Center. Dr. Munshi served as the Interim Executive Director of the Asian American\/Asian Research Institute (AAARI) at CUNY (2022-2023) and is a member of AAARI\u2019s Advisory Board<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span>She earned her Ph.D. in Sociology with an Advanced Women\u2019s Studies Certificate from the CUNY Graduate Center, and her B.A. in Women\u2019s Studies and in Psychology from Macalester College.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jean Kelly<\/h3>\n

Instructional Technologist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jean Kelly has been with CETLL since 2010, providing pedagogical and technical support for faculty in various instructional modes. She helps organize workshops to prepare faculty for teaching online and <\/span>assisted<\/span> faculty during the transition from Blackboard to Brightspace. In addition, she has created tutorials on Blackboard, Brightspace, Google Classroom; lecture capture; and other educational <\/span>technologies. Jean<\/span> received a Master of Library Science degree from the Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Christopher Coleman<\/h3>\n

IT Academic Technology Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chris Coleman joined CETLL in 2024, where he has assisted faculty with the college\u2019s transition from Blackboard to Brightspace.\u00a0 Prior to his position at CETLL, Chris worked in the Dean\u2019s Office of the School of Arts and Humanities, where he worked with faculty in a variety of areas, including online teaching, technology support, and reappointment and promotion preparation.\u00a0 He holds <\/span>masters<\/span> degrees in Urban Studies and Accounting from Queens College and a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Michigan.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Brightspace Administrator<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wayguard<\/span> Wong has been the LMS administrator at Queens College since 2020. He manages technical support and front-end administration of Brightspace, collaborating with Queens College Information Technology Services (QC ITS) and the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) to advance faculty development and student-centered pedagogy. Leveraging his certification as a Brightspace Administrator and a <\/span>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Economics<\/span>, he combines analytical <\/span>expertise<\/span> with instructional technology skills to <\/span>optimize<\/span> platform functionality and user experience. She comes with 8 years of experience in video production as a production coordinator and project manager. Elena Sigman, ACC<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Director of Learning & Development<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Elena joined the Queens College staff in July 2024, bringing more than 30 years of experience in program leadership and stakeholder engagement to drive equitable curriculum and program design. On the CETLL team, Elena facilitates professional development workshops and other initiatives for faculty and staff that strengthen skills, build community, and support wellbeing and inclusion. She was previously the Director of Collaborative Learning at John Jay College\u2019s Institute for Justice and Opportunity, where she developed a suite of certificate education programs as part of the Institute\u2019s commitment to increasing access to higher education and careers for people directly impacted by the criminal legal system. Elena has a Masters in Fine Arts in creative writing from Columbia University and Bachelors in English from Yale University. Elena is also an Associate Certified Coach with certifications from the International Coaching Federation and the NeuroLeadership Institute.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shadae Elliott joined CETLL in 2024 as a College Assistant. She has prior experience working in the graduate division at St. John\u2019s University and with children. Tasnim Hossain joined CETLL as a College Assistant in October 2025. She is currently pursuing a <\/span>b<\/span>achelor<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s<\/span> degree<\/span> in Computer Science<\/span> at Queens College. Previously, she <\/span>ha<\/span>s<\/span> worked<\/span> as a Software Engineer Intern and has experience with <\/span>new technologies<\/span>. Now, she is <\/span>assisting<\/span> faculty at Queens College <\/span>by providing <\/span>Bright<\/span>s<\/span>pace<\/span> support<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
