The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) is pleased to invite you to two virtual workshops on <\/span>Generative AI<\/span><\/b> on Monday, November 13 and Monday, December 4. <\/span><\/b>Both sessions will take place during <\/span>free hour (12:15-1:30 p.m.) on Zoom. <\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You are welcome to register for one or both workshops. Participation in the November workshop is not a prerequisite for the December workshop.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Workshop 1, November 13. Generative AI and Chat GPT: an overview <\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll discuss the basics about Generative AI, including how it works and what it can and can\u2019t do, as well as its impacts on teaching and learning, the possibilities that generative AI open up in the classroom, and concerns about academic integrity and ethics. You\u2019ll have an opportunity to engage with ChatGPT or other generative AI technology.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Workshop 2, December 4: \u00a0Generative AI and ChatGPT In Our Classrooms \u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This hands-on workshop<\/span>\u00a0is geared towards the implications\u00a0of Generative AI in our teaching. There will be a brief overview of ChatGPT, examples of ways that QC faculty are responding to developments in Generative AI, including ChatGPT, and breakout discussion groups based on discipline. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These workshops have been co-organized by CETLL and Dr. Amy Wan, Professor of English and Special Assistant to the Provost on Writing, with Dr. Daisuke Akiba (Associate Professor, Educational Psychology), Dr. Lindsey Albracht (Lecturer, English and co-Director of First Year Writing), Dr. Michelle C. Fraboni (Assistant Professor, Elementary and Early Childhood Education), and Dr. Delaram Kahrobaei (Professor, Computer Science and Mathematics).<\/p>\n
