Do you want to deepen your students\u2019 cross-cultural skills and global outlook?\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The\u202fOffice of the Provost\u202fat Queens College is pleased to announce the\u202f2024-2025 \u202f<\/span>Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)<\/span><\/a>\u202fFaculty Fellowships.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In keeping with the international goals of Queens College and working closely with the\u202fCenter for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Leadership (CETLL),\u202fthe seminar will introduce participants to COIL pedagogy and provide faculty support in the development of\u202fCOIL\u202finto their courses.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During three 1.5-hour online seminar sessions in Fall 2024 (<\/span>Fridays from 9:00 to 10:30 am on 10\/18, 11\/15, and 12\/13)<\/span>, the participants will be guided to develop content for their COIL units in accordance with their course learning outcomes, select relevant technology platforms, develop assessment tools, and supported to implement their COIL project in Spring 2024.\u202f <\/span>At the end of Spring 2024, COIL faculty and students will participate in COIL Faculty & Student Showcase.<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The aim of the\u202fCOIL\u202fFaculty Fellowships is to offer selected faculty the opportunity to learn about Collaborative Online International Learning, develop strategies for incorporating COIL into their courses, advance research with international colleagues, and expand QC\u2019s global presence.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Adding a\u202fCOIL\u202fcomponent to your course offers your students an opportunity to interact globally through virtual exchange without additional costs associated with physical mobility. While the\u202fCOIL\u202fcomponent takes place solely online, your course may be face-to-face, hybrid, or fully online.
