The Stevens Initiative is also supported by the Bezos Family Foundation and the governments of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The grant is awarded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.cuny.edu\/mu\/forum\/2021\/04\/07\/laguardia-community-college-receives-stevens-initiative-funding-for-program-to-virtually-connect-young-people-around-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nine partner institutions<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">LaGuardia Community College (lead PI)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">CUNY sub-awardees: <strong>Queens College<\/strong>, BMCC, Guttman, and Hostos<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region sub-awardees: Abdelmalek Essaadi University (Morocco), Palestine Ahliya University (Palestinian Territories), Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan), and The American University in Cairo (Egypt).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><strong>Global Scholars Achieving Career Success<\/strong><\/em> (GSACS) connects students from the five CUNY colleges and university students in Morocco, Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Egypt.
