Em is the Senior Director of Wellness & Innovation at Queens Hillel and a Queens College alumni. She is passionate about supporting students with their college journeys by working with the amazing staff at Queens Hillel to provide a listening ear, resources, referrals, career programs and more. Outside of work, Em loves plants, kitty cats, and rollerskating.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Brandon Jeffries is a Lecturer and Director of Student Affairs for the Graduate School of Library & Information Studies. Primarily having worked in Youth Services, Brandon has also managed adult programming and specialty services pertaining to housing, domestic violence, restorative justice, as well as prison re-entry. Currently, his research includes restorative service and empowering lifestyle changes within BIPOC communities.\u00a0 Brandon Jeffries\u2019 intention is clear cut: to bring resources, best practices and learned experiences to the students at Queens College Graduate Library Science Program.<\/div>\n

Carla (she\/her)\u00a0is a Communications Consultant and Program Manager with expertise in social justice, education, and mental health initiatives. She holds an MA in Media Studies and Social Justice and a bachelor\u2019s degree in social communication. As the first person in her family to immigrate to the U.S., Carla understands firsthand the challenges immigrant students face when pursuing educational and professional opportunities.
