In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond, the Music Library is showcasing materials of different musical styles of Hispanic communities in Queens that are held here in the collection.<\/p>\n

Per the U.S. Census Bureau\u2019s American Community Survey estimates, 27.9% of Queens County\u2019s population is Hispanic. The largest subgroup within this demographic, regardless of race, is Other Hispanic or Latino origin, with a population of 446,201 (68.64% of the total Hispanic population).<\/p>\n
