Head of QC Makerspace<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Nick Normal is a Co-PI on the Make STEAM Q project.<\/p>\n Though Nick spends his days thinking about and making at QC’s Makerspace in the library, he also spends time making at home, “I really enjoy canning vegetables! It’s surprisingly simple and an extremely efficient way to store food long-term. You can flavor things the way you like or really experiment with tastes and be surprised. (I also love soldering together a fun kit lol!)”<\/p>\n He always has his Leatherman Skeletool RX handy and reflects that “the world is a complex, gritty, and difficult place. I embrace that complexity but also wish to align it with my beliefs and values. Being a maker allows me to explore the ways and means to do exactly that – and to have some fun along the way!”<\/p>\n
