The Office of External & Governmental Relations serves as the primary university representative to elected officials. It acts as an advocate for the university on the federal, state and local levels of government, and works to address issues and requests elected officials make to the college. This office also serves as a liaison between the college and external community stakeholders–such as civic and faith-based organizations–to develop, support, and sustain relationships and collaborations with constituencies that add value to the mission and strategic goals of Queens College. In addition, this office oversees the college\u2019s professional arts and cultural organizations, including the Louis Armstrong House Museum<\/a>, the Godwin-Ternbach Museum<\/a>, the Kupferberg Performing Arts Center<\/a>, and the Queens College Arts Center\u200b<\/a>, and works closely with arts and cultural academic departments to support their public performances and acquisitions.<\/div>\n

As the principal liaison between the university and all elected officials, Government Relations can help you host elected officials on campus. Please notify our office in advance if you would like to invite an elected official to campus so that we can provide assistance, make further arrangements to welcome your guest, and properly promote their visit to our campus and off-campus constituents.<\/div>\n
