Queens College proudly supports LGBTQIA+ and ally students by offering a wide range of events, programs, trainings, leadership opportunities, HIV\/STI testing, information and resources.<\/span><\/p>\n The Benjamin S. Rosenthal Library at Queens College in partnership with LGBTQIAA+ Programs at Queens College houses <\/span>the Queer Collection<\/b>, a growing collection of LGBTQIA+ titles for you to borrow. The collection was launched in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Queer Writers at Queens College<\/b> Program is designed to further develop writing skills in a safe space. The program is open to LGBTQIA+ and ally students every semester. Queer Writers at Queens College is in collaboration with the English Department and the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n The newest annual CUNY tradition, <\/span>CUNY Queens Lavender Graduation<\/b>, began at Queens College in 2023. This celebration of LGBTQIA+ and ally graduates from Queens College, York College, Queensborough Community College, LaGuardia Community College, and CUNY School of Law is held every May on one of our CUNY campuses in the borough of Queens. LGBTQIAA+ Programs at Queens College is its lead organizer.<\/span><\/p>\n Queens College is also the home of <\/span>CUNY Pridefest<\/b>. Founded at Queens College in 2018, CUNY Pridefest is the City University of New York\u2019s largest annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride honoring queer, transgender and gender nonconforming students, faculty and staff from all 25 schools in every borough of NYC.
