Leadership initiatives at Queens College<\/span><\/h1>\n

The Office of Student Development and Leadership offer several leadership opportunities such as participating in OSDL’s knights round table leadership series held in the Fall and Spring, being an Orientation Leader, a Welcome Day Leader, a Junior Court Marshall, an UBUNTU mentor or holding an executive position in one of the many clubs and organizations at Queens College.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>Developing leadership skills in college are ways for students to gain soft skills that translate into qualities that future employers are searching for in candidates. Enhancing and nurturing skills such as communication and collaboration build resilience and teach adaptability, which make our students the most marketable. We further foster learning through workshops and various training courses to ensure our students succeed.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>Join us for our <\/span>Knight\u2019s Round<\/span> Table Leadership Series <\/span>in<\/span> the Fall semester.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Office of Student Development and Leadership<\/a> runs a mentorship program for first year students of color entering Queens College in the Fall and Spring semester. The UBUNTU program was established in 2020 with the purpose of retaining students of color as they matriculate through the College. UBUNTU supports its students by pairing them with upperclassmen mentors and exposing them to campus and cultural resources. This program is inclusive and all students are welcome to participate!<\/span><\/p>\n
