Spanish Honor Society at Queens College

Purpose Statement

To honor those who attain excellence in the study of the Spanish language and in the study of the literature and culture of the Spanish-speaking peoples; to honor those who have made Hispanic contributions to modern culture better known in the English-speaking world; to encourage college and university students to acquire a greater interest in, and a deeper understanding of, Hispanic culture; and to foster friendly relations and mutual respect between the nations of Hispanic speech and those of English speech.

 

Queens College Requirements

  1. Successful completion of Spanish 224, 228 and two 300-level courses.
  2. An average of at least B+ in all Spanish courses.
  3. A Queens College cumulative index of at least 3.2.
  4. Signatures of two Spanish professors you have had at Queens College.

 

Application Form

To apply, download the Sigma Delta Pi–Delta Alpha Chapter application form and return it to the Hispanic Languages and Literatures office in Kiely Hall, room 243.
