SEYS: Clinical Experiences

Student Teaching is a time of guided professional field experience in which students acquire the necessary competencies to enter the teaching profession and an important part of teacher certification.  Students in 7-12 programs are required to have two semesters of concentrated and supervised field experience in a middle school and high school setting. Programs in K-12 are required placement in Elementary and Secondary setting for certification with the New York State Education department.

Please refer to the links below for important information and documents regarding field placement and student teaching.  You may also refer to the SEYS main page for links to programs and their individual requirements.

We wish you much success in your future educational and professional endeavors.
