Undergraduate Fall 2017 Admissions
direct_admission.jpg

The priority deadline has passed, but it is not too late to apply for our Fall 2017 semester. We are still reviewing applications for the Fall.

The Admission Review Process

Freshmen:
The admission review process provides us with an opportunity to review your entire academic record, which includes academic units, grades/grade trends and standardized test scores (NY State Regents, SAT and/or ACT), as well as essays and letters of recommendation.

Transfer:
Your admission application will be evaluated based on an individual review of your academic record that includes all attempted and completed courses and grades earned and essays/personal statements and letters of recommendation. You must have completed at least one 3 credit college-level course in mathematics and English with a grade of “C” or better or must demonstrate college-level readiness based on SAT, ACT or New York Regents test scores.

Your entire coursework history, including grades earned from courses taken more than once, will be used to determine a grade point average (GPA). If more than one college was attended, your GPA will be determined through a combined calculation of all attempted coursework. Your high school/secondary school record will be considered if you have completed fewer than 30 college credits.

Please review the information below on how to submit your application to Queens College for the Fall 2017 semester.

Undergraduate Admissions Application:

Step 1

Fill out the online application form. Once completed, you may email it to the Undergraduate Admissions Office at applicant@qc.cuny.edu or send via U.S. mail.

Step 2

Once we receive the form, a member of the Queens College Admissions Counseling team will contact you with details on what supporting documentation is needed to complete the review of your admissions application. If necessary, you will be asked to schedule an appointment to meet with an admissions counselor.

Step 3

Request transcripts from high schools or non-CUNY colleges that you have attended. Please ask your school(s) to email the transcript(s) directly to us at transcript@qc.cuny.edu

Your school may also mail your transcripts to Queens College at the address below:

Queens College
Undergraduate Admissions DAP
65-
30 Kissena Blvd.
Jefferson Hall, Room 117
Queens, NY 11367-1597

Please note that if you are a CUNY student, we have access to your CUNY transcripts.

If you are an international document holder, we will need your official transcripts in the original language, along with a valid English translation. Mail your documents to the address above or present them in person.

Step 4

We encourage you to apply for Financial Aid if you have not already done so. Visit
www.fafsa.ed.gov to get started now.

Please note that in order to make an admissions decision, we need a completed admissions application with all supporting documentation.
