Fashion and Textiles Specialization
The study of fashion and textiles is based on an interdisciplinary approach. Social science principles derived from psychology, sociology, history, and economics are combined with physical science principles and aesthetics. Graduates seek employment in industries related to the design, production, distribution, or retailing of textiles and apparel. Others seek employment with historical societies, pattern companies, or fashion publications. This program at Queens College provides a firm liberal arts education with fundamental knowledge in fashion and textiles.
