How to Apply

Queens College offers two regular 15-week semesters (fall, late August – December; spring, late January – May) and four summer sessions. ACE classes are held during the evenings and on weekends. Weekday courses are offered to ACE students as they progress into regular college classes. We recommend that returning adults begin as part-time students, taking 3 to 11 credits per semester. Full-time students take 12 to 18 credits per semester.

Application Process

To enroll in the ACE program, you have to be admitted to both CUNY and ACE.

Applicants who have attended schools in the United States only should apply directly to the ACE office at Queens College. You should send both CUNY and ACE applications, appropriate application fee (payable to Queens College) and all official transcripts to Queens College.

Applicants who attended secondary school and/or college in a foreign country must apply directly to CUNY online at http://www.cuny.edu/admissions/apply.html and pay the appropriate application fee online by credit card. All foreign transcripts should be mailed to the central office in Brooklyn. Photocopies of secondary school transcript/mark sheets and diploma can be mailed by applicant to the central office. College transcripts must be mailed by the issuing institution; all foreign language documents and translations must be mailed to the central office.

All applicants should return the completed ACE application to the ACE office. Please call us at (718) 997-5717 with any questions.
