Admissions Criteria for College Credit Courses

For arts & humanities, science & social science courses:
80+ on English Regents or 500+ on Verbal SAT.

If you don’t have the above scores:
A grade of 85+ in English in current marking period.

Additional Admissions Criteria for First-Time Applicants:
Select courses from the College Now-dedicated list
Come for personal interview with College Now staff
Attend Orientation before start of classes

Admissions Criteria for Returning Students:
Successfully complete previous courses (a grade of C- or better)
An overall high school GPA of 80+ on most recent report card

First-Time Applicants

To apply you must bring to your interview:

• CUNY-College Now Application/Registration Form
• Current High School Transcript
• Most Recent H.S. Report Card
• SAT Score Report
  (only if used to prove eligibility)
• Course Selection/Parental Permission Form
  (signed by a parent/guardian)
• Teacher Recommendation
• Student Contract
  (signed by you and a parent/guardian)
• Essay
• Copy of UP TO DATE Immunization Record
  (with page containing doctor’s name or school printout with school’s stamp)
• Filled out & signed Meningitis Response Form
  (No immunization required!)

 
Returning College Now Students

To apply you must submit:

• CUNY-College Now Application/Registration Form
• Current High School Transcript
• Most Recent H.S. Report Card
• Course Selection/Parental Permission Form
  (signed by a parent/guardian)
• Student Contract
  (signed by you and a parent/guardian)
