What is the Winter Session?
The Winter Session is a three-week intersession between the Fall and Spring semesters that allows students to register and complete up to four credits in three weeks.
Winter Session 2012 is scheduled for Tuesday, January 3, through Tuesday, January 24.

Who is eligible to participate in the Winter Session?
All admitted students are eligible to participate in the Winter Sessions. Visiting students from other colleges and universities may also apply to attend. An online application is available at https://apps.qc.cuny.edu/vsa/app_Agreement.aspx

How do I find out what courses are being offered?
Click CUNYfirst select Queens College, Spring 2012 SEMESTER, and ADDITIONAL SEARCH CRITERIA and enter WINTER under SESSION.
You will see a list of all Winter Classes.

When can I register for Winter Session?
Currently enrolled undergraduate students and admitted visiting students can begin to register, starting with Upper Seniors on December 7.

How do I register for Winter Session courses?
Currently enrolled students as well as admitted visiting students can register via CUNYfirst, with the exception of permit students, who must use the e-permit system. Both of these registration processes are available online at https://www.qc.edu/: click CUNYfirst.
**Visiting students may also contact the Registrar's Office at 718-997-4400 for additional registration assistance.

How do I access the CUNY portal?
Open https://www.cuny.edu/.
Log in with your username and password to access eSIMS.
If you do not have a username and password, you can click the REGISTER option and follow the instructions to obtain the necessary information.
If you have any further troubles with accessing the CUNY Portal or with signing in, you should contact the Registrars Office (718-997-4400) or the Help Desk (718-997-4444)

How many credits can I take during the Winter Session?
Students may register for up to four credits.

How do I pay for the Winter Session?
All bills will be sent by mail. The payment due dates have not been determined at this time. The dates shown below indicate when the payment is due at the college (not the postmark date).

What if I decide to drop a Winter Session course? How do I do this? How much of a refund will I receive?
If you are NOT going to attend Winter Session, you must officially drop your classes. To cancel or drop a course, similar to the process of adding a course, you must use the eSIMS registration system.

When will I receive my grade?
Grades will be available shortly after the session ends on CUNYfirst.
Students who receive incomplete grades will have until the end of the Spring term to resolve them.
