The Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR) program provides grants for undergraduates to conduct research in close collaboration with faculty. Application deadlines are in March and October, annually. Sigma Xi is a scientific research society; we have a chapter at Queens College, and many of our faculty are members (the Sigma Xi contact person at Queens College is Professor George Axelrad, Chemistry).
