ePortfolio Seminar for Faculty
The Center for Teaching and Learning offered an all-day faculty seminar on ePortfolio pedagogies and how ePortfolios (known at QC as QPortfolios) can be instrumental in enhancing the transfer experience for students. The seminar took place on Queens College campus in Razran 347 on Friday, June 8, 2012 (from 10 am to 5 pm), and included general discussion about ePortfolios as well as discussion in break-out groups about the following tracks:
* Writing
* Professional Portfolios
* Program Assessment
* Clasroom Assessment
The seminar feature Janice Smith (QC, Music) as the keynote speaker and two tranfer students: Carina Nieves and Maria Romano.
The seminar included faculty from some of the CUNY campuses that participate in the Making Transfer Connections project, including Queens College, LaGuardia, and Bronx (Making Transfer Connections is a Title V [US Department of Education] funded project on ePortfolio and transfer.), as well as Manahattah Communicty College.
