Subject: Course Registration in CUNYfirst, Extension of Refund and Fee Deadlines
As you may well be aware, the CUNYfirst registrations system has recently been difficult to access, but is up and running now. While we are hopeful that these difficulties are resolved, the college has taken steps to assist students who need to add or drop courses, as described below.
In addition, CUNY is extending the 100% tuition refund date to the close of business on Wednesday, September 3. This applies to tuition and any fees that would have been partially or completely refunded due to a change in enrollment. Students will not be charged a late registration fee or change of program fee until Thursday, September 4, when the 50% refund policy will be in effect.
If you continue to experience difficulties with CUNYfirst, you may visit the One Stop Center in the Dining Hall, or Advising Center representatives in the computer lab in Kiely Hall, Room 236, to record your add/drop requests on a paper form. The Office of the Registrar will enter these requests in the order received, and will contact you to let you know if they were able to register you in the requested sections. Registration may not be possible in sections that have reached their enrollment cap or have other unmet requirements or prerequisites. Check courses.qc.cuny.edu to see which courses are at or near their enrollment limits. For courses requiring departmental approval, please visit that department’s office.
