Client Services


The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Client Services division at Queens College is comprised of the following areas:


Computer Labs

The OIT Computer Labs manage classroom labs for instructional purposes. Each lab is equipped with one or more technology enhancements such as:
  • Projection
  • Plasma displays
  • Classroom management software (Genesis or Synchroneyes)
They also provide open labs for QC students to use in the I Building, Powdermaker Hall, Kiely Hall, and the Science Building.


Help Desk

The OIT Help Desk provides technology support to Queens College students, faculty, and staff. They respond to issues regarding:
  • Hardware/software problems
  • Virus removal
  • Software updates
  • QC Username & Email
  • CUNYfirst
  • Citizen CUNYPortal
  • QC wireless access
  • and any other technology related issue

For assistance, you can visit the Help Desk in Dining Hall 151, call them at 718-997-4444, or email them at helpdesk@qc.cuny.edu.


Training & Technology Solutions

The OIT Training & Technology Solutions office provides workshops to QC faculty, staff, and students. Topics may vary on a monthly basis, but usually consist of:

  • Microsoft Office
  • CUNYfirst
  • Customer Service
  • PII & Security Awareness 
  • and more...
