As “the Voice of Queens College,” our student-run radio station WQMC (1290 AM and webcasts) features music, talk shows, entertainment, interviews, and other content during our “Mellow Mundaes” to “Ferocious Friday” on-the-air schedule. Our format-free station, established by students for students in 1966, is one of QC’s oldest clubs. We’ve been a launchpad for careers in radio, including the career of one of our co-founders, Dennis Elsas, ’68, who is known for bringing progressive rock and new wave music to FM audiences.
