The Queens College
Art Department offers major programs in three areas: art history, studio art, and graphic design. It offers an advanced degree in Master of Fine Arts (MFA), a Master of Arts in Art History (MA), a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art (BFA), a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in design (GD), and a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) that provides part of the necessary background to become a teacher of art in secondary education (K–12). All of these programs are well-grounded within the framework of a liberal arts curriculum. Information about how to apply to the Art Department can be obtained by
contacting the office. Requests for transfer credits will be evaluated by appropriate department faculty.
