Applying for the TEACH Grant at Queens College

Step One

If you are eligible to apply based on the requirements outlined on the previous page, the process begins with completing the FAFSA application. Students interested in the TEACH Grant at Queens College should file the 2013-2014 FAFSA immediately--and resolve all edits and documentation requirements with Financial Aid as soon as possible. Information about the TEACH Grant, as well as the Entrance Counseling and Agreement to Serve forms that you must complete, can be found on the federal website at If you are interested in applying for the TEACH Grant, complete these web-based processes now.

Please review all requirements and the timetable for completing them. Pay particular attention to the service requirements and service documentation requirements, as well as to the conditions under which this grant could become an expensive loan. NOTE: Once the grant becomes a loan, it CANNOT be changed back to a grant.

Step Three

If you are still interested in the TEACH Grant after finishing the first two steps, an ADDITIONAL APPLICATION and an interview process is required. Your request for a TEACH Grant is not complete without them.

  • URGENT - The Spring 2015 semester starts on January 28th.  The ADD period is over February 3rd.  Your registration as of February 3rd will be used to determine your maximum financial aid eligibility for the semester.  Class additions made to your schedule after February 3rd WILL NOT increase your financial aid eligibility (grants, loans, work).
