Applying for the TEACH Grant at Queens College

Step One

If you meet the requirements outlined on the previous page, the process begins with completing the FAFSA application. Students interested in the TEACH Grant at Queens College should file the 2014-2015 FAFSA immediately--and resolve all edits and documentation requirements with Financial Aid as soon as possible. File your FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.gov.

Step Two

Information about the TEACH Grant, as well as the Entrance Counseling and Agreement to Serve forms that you must complete, can be found on the federal website at https://teach-ats.ed.gov/ats/index.action. If you are interested in applying for the TEACH Grant, complete these web-based processes now.

For more information on a student's general award eligibility as well as other program regulations, go to
http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/TEACH.jsp.

Please review all requirements and the timetable for completing them. Pay particular attention to the service requirements and service documentation requirements, as well as to the conditions under which this grant could become an expensive loan. NOTE: Once the grant becomes a loan, it CANNOT be changed back to a grant.

Step Three

If you are still interested in the TEACH Grant after finishing the first two steps, please visit Financial Aid, located in Jefferson Hall, Room 202, to speak with a representative.
