Certificate Program and Exam Prep

In an increasingly projectized world, PMI (Project Management Institute) professional certification ensures that you’re ready to meet the demands of projects and employers across the globe.

Our Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate Program focuses on developing and improving the performance of projects and programs in technology, finance/accounting, building construction, and industrial expansion, or in any other field that requires project managers to initiate the projects. After completion of this training, individuals will be able to create projects with competency in their current fields of expertise.

This program is developed in alignment with PMI/CompTIA standards.


Upon completion of the courses, Introduction to Project Management, Advanced Project Management, Microsoft Viso and Microsoft Project, students will receive a Certificate of Completion.

CP-785 - Introduction to Project Management *Required for both PMI EXAM & Queens College Certification
This course is an introduction to crucial project management concepts. The process groups and knowledge areas covered include planning, scoping, scheduling, budgeting, communication, and change management.   8 Sessions. 28 hrs. (28 Professional Development Units)
Books: Project Management Body of Knowledge, 6th Edition (must be purchased by the first session)

CP-786 - Advanced Project Management *Required for both PMI EXAM & Queens College Certification
This course is an in-depth study of advanced project management topics such as risk management, resource management, cost management and measurement, as well as contract and vendor management. Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Case Study will be emphasized. 10 Sessions. 35 hrs. (35 Professional Development Units)

CP-787 -  Microsoft Visio *Required for Queens College Certification
This course teaches students to use Visio, a business graphical application that creates drawings such as data flowcharts, schedules, Gantt charts, Pert charts, organization charts, and network diagrams. The class emphasizes solutions that help business professionals to visualize complex ideas and information for effective communication, information sharing, and prototyping. 2 Sessions. 10 hrs.

CP-788 -  Microsoft Project *Required for Queens College Certification
This course teaches Microsoft Project Professional 2007 as a tool to assist professionals in managing projects. After completing the course successfully, students will be able to develop a project plan and a work breakdown structure by organizing tasks, assigning resources to tasks, tracking progress, managing budgets, and analyzing workloads. 2 Sessions. 10 hrs.
