Critical Social Practice, Post-Master’s Advanced Certificate

The Queens College Art Department and Social Practice Queens (SPQ) is proud to announce the launch of the new, 24 credit, Advanced Certificate in Critical Social Practice geared to post-graduate students. Emphasizing one-on-one mentoring geared to individual learning objectives, the program offers access to specialists in the field while offering seminars focused on project management, interdisciplinary studies, and the history of art as social action.

Requirements for Matriculation
These requirements are in addition to the general requirements for matriculation.
- Applicants must submit a current resume or CV.
- A portfolio or other form of documentation showing past work or works in progress. Please submit a URL for your portfolio in your application.
- An essay describing a specific thesis and research project which you plan on pursuing at SPQ. Including: 2 – 3 page project description, timeline, intended academic outcomes, potential partners/communities engaged.
Requirements for Non-Matriculation
Students are to follow the college’s requirements for non-matriculation.
