Study: Language and literacy acquisition in typical and atypical developing children in Korean and Chinese communities
Research Assistants: Nakyung Yoo and Qi Li
The purpose of this study is to understand the nature of language practices and particular needs faced by Korean and Chinese families with children of preschool age.  We interview parents to determine their primary concerns and questions regarding bilingualism; we measure language changes in the home-language and English; we provide early-literacy materials and support in their home-language.
We are currently recruiting families.  If interested in participating, contact Dr. Ijalba.
