Alumni Spotlight: Careers in Academia as Historians

Over the years, many Queens College graduates have gone on to careers as historians. They include some of the most prominent scholars of the post-World War II era.

Many were much like Queens College students today: children of immigrants, from working-class families, the first members of their families to attend college. Their record of achievement is extraordinary.

The following list is far from comprehensive. We welcome additional names of Queens College alumni historians.

 Alumni Spotlight: Antonio Muñoz

Antonio Muñoz earned both his B.A. and M.A. in history at Queens College. His 2008 M.A. thesis was titled “Murderers in Field Grey: German army war crimes in the rear area of army group south, 1941-1942.” He is currently a student in St. John’s Doctor of Arts Program in Modern World History.

Visit the St. John's website to read more about Mr. Muñoz’ success in his doctoral program.
