Research & Professional Interests

With support from the Institute for Museum and Library Services, I am currently engaged in the review of the GSLIS archives and records management curriculum and certificate program. It is our goal to infuse new breadth, depth and focus on digital issues while preserving the basic theories and values of the field. Digitization is transforming the creation, organization, storage and preservation of all types of archives and repositories. Thus, the education of students wishing to become archivists in the 21 st century must reflect these new developments. Management and the creation of organizational structures and the factors that effect change in libraries and information organizations have been my long-term interests.
