Lauren Talerman, Honors Program

Launched in 2001, the Macaulay Honors College offers unique opportunities to ambitious undergraduates. Participants—known as University Scholars—get free tuition, as well as an academic expense account, mentors, internships, a free laptop, and access to special seminars and study abroad options. They also receive a Cultural Passport, which provides free or discounted admission to concerts, plays, and exhibits, many of which are incorporated into course work. The Macaulay program is available at seven of CUNY’s 11 senior colleges; cross-campus events are held every semester to allow University Scholars to present projects and meet peers from sister schools. For more information, visit CUNY’s Macaulay website.
