CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

​In support of the campus mission, strategic plans and values, Queens College seeks to fill one tenure track Assistant Professor Vacancy in the Computer Science Department beginning Fall 2017.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and master’s level courses, and establishing a record of research and scholarship as evidenced by peer reviewed publications, conference presentations, grant applications and funded research. The successful candidate will strengthen our existing expertise in cybersecurity, and collaborate with researchers both within and outside the CS Department on fundamental as well as applied topics under the broad umbrella of cybersecurity.  Shared responsibility exists for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

The Computer Science Department serves over 1200 undergraduate majors and 100 master's degree students, and participates actively in the Ph.D. program based at the CUNY Graduate Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

​Qualified candidates must have an earned Ph.D. by June 2017 in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related area.  A demonstrated level of expertise and research excellence is required in the area of cybersecurity, including but not limited to computer security, data security, cyber infrastructure, and large-scale applications.  Also required are the ability to teach successfully, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
