The Queens College Undergraduate Admissions department seeks three (3) full time Admissions Advisors. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the admissions advisors will participate in the implementation of QC’s recruitment plans and programs in support of a strategic plan to identify, attract, admit and enroll a highly-qualified and diverse student body.

Along with the CUNY Title Overview, the successful candidates will perform the following tasks:
- Advise and recruit prospective students throughout the admission cycle including the following phases: prospect, applicant and accept.
- Uses Hobson's to communicate with prospective and newly admitted students to assist with the conversion process
- Represent QC at high schools, colleges, and recruitment fairs both regional and occasionally outside of the New York area.
- Assists in conducting and coordinating information sessions and campus tours.
- Represents the Office of Undergraduate Admission to the surrounding QC community.

Position necessitates working some evenings and some occasional weekends as well as traveling to off-campus locations.


Coordinates and contributes to student recruiting activities. 

- Conducts open house sessions and orientations to ensure applicants are fully informed of requirements and processes   

- Assists in direct recruiting at high schools, community outreach events, and other appropriate locations 

- Provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, email, or letter 

- Maintains current information about College programs and degree requirements 

- Performs related duties as assigned


​Bachelor's Degree required.


​- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to conduct presentations to small and large groups are strongly preferred.- Previous admission or higher education experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of trends and best practices in the field of admissions, recruitment or enrollment management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Hobson's Connect or other enrollment management CRM
- Bilingual skills (French, Spanish, Mandarin, Korean or Russian)


​$39,282 - $45,957Salary commensurate with education and experience.
