Queens College is the center for the arts in Queens.

Extraordinary programming is a daily occurrence at Queens College, home of the Kupferberg Center for the Arts and one of the best cultural destinations in the borough. With three performance spaces (including the acoustically perfect LeFrak Concert Hall), the Godwin-Ternbach Museum (home to the most comprehensive art collection in Queens), and the Queens College Art Center, a separate gallery for contemporary installations, the college presents memorable events in every genre.

Indeed, the campus is busy day and night; one of our most popular series, Chamber Music Live, brings audiences to LeFrak on Tuesday mornings to hear top classical artists—QC faculty and alums among them. The excitement continues off-campus at the Louis Armstrong House Museum, a National Historic Landmark that celebrates the life and work of a founding father of jazz. And young musicians can sharpen their skills at the Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music.

The arts are a central part of academic programs at Queens College, where all undergraduates have to take at least one course in the visual or performing arts. QC awards bachelor’s degrees in art, dance, drama, film, media studies, and music, and showcases future stars in student productions. Several departments award advanced degrees, too.
