Changes to the e-Check Payment Process

Please be advised that if you want to make a one-time online payment, CUNY recently changed the process.
Here’s what you need to know. You can also view this Payment Video created by CUNY.
To make an online one-time payment, select the make a payment link in your Student Center (make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled).

Then select Make Payment from the left-hand menu.

You will see a screen that displays all of the CUNY schools (past and present) associated with your ID. Next to each school will be a payment amount box.

Since each school is listed, each payment amount box either will be populated with a dollar amount if you owe money to that school, or will be blank if nothing is owed.

You can choose to pay the entire amount in the payment amount box. Or you can choose to override the pre-populated amount and enter the amount you wish to pay in the payment amount box next to the appropriate school.

DO NOT enter amounts into payment amount boxes of schools with no amounts due. If you do, a payment will be made to that school.

After you enter your bank information you will see a screen asking, Is this eCheck information correct?
Before you finalize your payment, review your payment information to:
1) make sure you are sending money only to a school where you have outstanding charges; and,
2) confirm the amount. If the information is wrong, cancel and start over.

If you finalized an incorrect payment, immediately contact the respective school’s bursar office.

Changes to Payment Options for Tuition, Fees, and Housing Charges

Please be advised that effective March 13, 2016, QC/CUNY revised the procedures for utilizing a credit or debit card for tuition, fees, and housing payments.

•    You will no longer be able to use a credit or debit card to make payments directly to QC for Spring 2016 tuition/housing charges or for past due balances. As of this date, only cash, check, or money orders will be accepted for payment at the Bursar’s Office, Jefferson Hall, Room 200.

•    For future semesters/sessions, all credit and debit card transactions will be processed via the CUNY Payment Plan, which can be accessed through CUNYfirst Self Service. The payment plan provides you and your family the option of paying tuition, fees, and housing charges over a period of up to six months. This flexibility enables you to reduce the burden of paying all tuition, fees and housing charges prior to the start of the academic term. This payment plan is an interest-free benefit to you and your family.

The enrollment fee for the payment plan is $95 per semester/session. If you opt for direct withdrawals from a bank account, a discount will be provided which will lower the enrollment fee to $40 per semester/session.

•    The eCheck payment option through CUNYfirst Self Service continues to be an alternative payment option that is cost effective since it does not require an enrollment fee.

Visit your online self-service center to view your account. It is strongly suggested that you pay your bill online, as we are expecting long lines at the Bursar's Office. If paying by check, you can also take advantage of our drop-off boxes located within the front doors of Jefferson Hall and outside the Bursar’s Office in JH200. Payment by electronic fund transfer (e-check) is available with no charge to the student.

If you are a financial aid student, you are required to pay the difference between the anticipated aid appearing on your account and your tuition and fee bill. If the anticipated aid appearing on your account covers your entire bill, no payment is due. If you choose not to attend classes, YOU must drop your courses before the first day of class to avoid any liability.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Bursar's Office has gone paperless!
Tuition bills are no longer mailed to students. An email will be sent to your QC account informing you of the due date of your bill, based on when you registered. This notice will direct you to CUNYfirst to view your bill.

If you do not have a Queens College email account, go to CAMS and register for one immediately.

Students must file a Registration Review Appeal Form (please use a browser other than Firefox). Processing directions are on the first page of the appeal form.

Appeals are to be submitted to the Welcome Center in Jefferson Hall.
