"Helping Others Through Equal Sacrifice and Caring" is this year’s theme for the annual Queens College/CUNY Campaign for Voluntary Charitable Giving. By making a donation to Queens College’s Charitable Campaign, we can demonstrate that we, the Queens College community, can make a vital difference in our city.
All employees should have received a campaign information booklet in the interoffice mail. It contains a list of many different charitable and advocacy agencies. Among the many programs are two superb ones: the Queens College Foundation, which provides scholarships to our wonderful students and supports important college programs, and the Child Development Center at Queens College, which provides vitally needed day care services to the college community. If you haven't received a booklet, please call my office at (718 ) 997-5725.
You can make a gift to the charity or charities of your choice through a payroll deduction or through a one-time donation on the pledge form enclosed in the booklet. The great thing about the payroll deduction is that you may your contribution deducted automatically from your paycheck throughout the year. It’s that easy!
Everyone who contributes is eligible for the CUNY Campaign Sweepstakes, so be sure to complete the Sweepstake Entry Form at the bottom of the page. Anyone who donates a minimum of $5 per pay period or makes a one-time donation of $130 or more by December 1 is eligible to win an American Express Gift Card.
Everyone in the Queens College community who participates by making a gift in any amount is eligible to win prizes in our own college raffle, including two tickets to a Broadway hit show, a digital camera, gifts from the College Bookstore, tickets to performances in the Kupferberg Performing Arts Center, and gift certificates. Please send your completed pledge forms to me in Kiely 805. The Campaign begins today and ends on December 11.
Thank you so much for helping those in great need by donating generously to our Charitable Campaign.
With warmest regards,
Chair, Queens College Campaign
