NYS Child Count Maps of Children with Hearing & Vision Loss
A visual display of the children and young adults with combined hearing and vision loss currently identified and connected with the New York Deaf-Blind Collaborative are now available for viewing. Having these visuals allows us to see pockets that are heavily populated and areas lacking that should have higher representation based on NYS demographics. This information assists us in targeting our outreach efforts to ensure that there is a proportionate representation of children who are deaf-blind in comparison to NYS statistical predictions.
