Psychology: Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Psychology provides students with an understanding of both normal and abnormal behavior. Coursework includes theory, methods, topics, laboratory courses, and fieldwork. It gives essential preparation to students planning to pursue careers in such fields as clinical or experimental psychology, counseling, school psychology, and others in which a solid grasp of theory and science is required.

The undergraduate degree is the first step toward such careers. Students may aspire to work in a wide variety of clinical, research, and educational settings, from schools and hospitals to residential programs for handicapped individuals or addiction treatment centers.
