The Queens College Professional and Continuing Studies Department, in collaboration with North Shore Animal League America, is pleased to introduce a course in partnership with The Mutt-i-grees Curriculum Certificate Program – Theory and Practicum for Classroom Implementation.

Of special note to current and future educators: This course may qualify for professional development hours through the New York State Department of Education. Please check with your public school district office for possible approval and granting of 20 hours toward your professional development requirement. For educators not employed in the public school system, please check with your individual school principal and/or administrator for possible professional development credit. For current education students with a TEACH account, please report course hours and program completion for possible professional development credit hours.

This course is open to current Pre-K through Grade 12 educators, including education students, guidance counselors, social workers, school psychologists, child care providers, librarians, non-profit administrators, community board members, child enrichment center administrators, after-school program coordinators, summer camp leaders, youth recreation counselors, recreation therapists, specialized learning center directors, community board leaders, and animal behaviorists and/or advocates. If you are interested in the potential of human–animal interaction programs for your school or institution, this course will deliver the tools you need to implement a customized program in your classroom or non-profit organization.
