Diane Coogan-Pushner, PhD, CFA
Diane Coogan-Pushner is a risk management professional who was most recently the Chief Risk Officer of the Navigators Group. She received her PhD from Boston University and began her career at the World Bank. Diane then worked in finance and strategy at AT&T before moving to PricewaterhouseCoopers to originate and manage corporate finance and risk management engagements for financial institutions. She spent a number of years at Swiss Re and was Managing Director, responsible for structured reinsurance transactions. Diane was a portfolio manager for a hedge fund and for a private equity fund both dedicated to financial services. During the financial crisis, Diane founded the Risk Management program for the City University of New York at Queens College, where she was Director, Associate Dean, and a full-time faculty member. She has served on Standard & Poor’s Insurance Advisory Council and on the board of a privately held insurance company. Diane is an invited speaker at industry and academic conferences, provides investment and risk management services to institutional investors, and is currently a consultant with G58 Capital. She has published on topics of risk and investment performance, including the Handbook of Credit Risk Management, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
