Welcome
to Queens College - a world of exploration and discovery! The
college has welcomed over 1,900 new freshmen for the 2018-2019 academic year. The Academic Advising
Center is here to accompany our new students through their academic journeys. We hope to serve
as a user-friendly resource to assist our current freshmen, as well as prospective
students and their families, to navigate academic life.

Your Freshman Advising and Registration session
is the first step in promoting the successful transition to life at Queens
College. Our goal is to help acclimate you to the college’s academic requirements and
co-curricular programs, as well as introduce you to resources to ensure your
academic success. The Freshman session consists of an informative presentation followed by an
individual academic advising session to create your first semester programming,
as well as long-term academic planning. To best assist you in
this process, please prepare in advance. Learn More.
Continuing
Freshmen
Now
that you have begun your first year at Queens College, you will need to focus
on your academic success. To do so, you will need to develop time management
and study skills, writing skills and, most important, your organizational
skills. These are all essential components for academic success.
The
Academic Advising Center’s website highlights essential information to assist
in your academic journey beyond freshman year. We encourage all freshmen to
take initiative, ask questions, and educate themselves about the many
great opportunities and resources offered at Queens College.
