Why Donate

Like all Centers and Institutes at Queens College, the Center for Jewish Studies must be financially self‑sustaining. The Center’s wide array of free or nominally priced public programs, publications, enriched academic curricular offerings, and student scholarships depend on the generosity of external supporters. Without this essential funding, much of the Center’s programming and educational outreach would not be possible.

The Center for Jewish Studies is sincerely grateful for the gifts and grants it receives from alumni, program patrons and philanthropic foundations. These contributions play a critical role in advancing Jewish scholarship, promoting intellectual engagement, and supporting meaningful dialogue both on campus and within the broader community.

Donor support ensures that high‑quality Jewish learning and cultural programming remain accessible to students, scholars, and community members, strengthening academic inquiry and cultural understanding for generations to come.

Planned Giving: Leaving a Legacy for the Next Generation

If you wish to ensure that the Center for Jewish Studies at Queens College continues to educate, inspire, and enrich future generations, you may wish to consider making a planned gift.

Planned giving offers a meaningful way to support the Center while also helping you maximize the tax and financial benefits of your charitable contribution. Through thoughtful estate planning, you may be able to provide a more impactful gift than you might have thought possible—while aligning your philanthropic goals with your personal financial planning.

Regardless of age or income, many individuals find that planned giving provides both flexibility and peace of mind. There are a variety of creative giving options available that allow you to contribute to the long‑term sustainability of the Center while safeguarding your own financial well‑being.
