How to Apply to the Aaron Copland School of Music

Entrance to the Advanced Certificate in Classical Performance is by competitive audition. Be sure to follow all steps in the application process. 

Applicants for the Advanced Certificate in Classical Performance require an undergraduate degree with a major in music or equivalent. You may apply during the final year of your undergraduate program, however full admission to the Advanced Certificate program requires that the undergraduate degree has been awarded. 

International students are required to take the TOEFL with a minimum score of 61 or the IELTS with a minimum score of 5. Provisional acceptance is available if the TOEFL score is between 53 and 61, or the IELTS score is between 4.5 and 5.

The ACSM team uses Acceptd to manage audition requests. At this site you can schedule your live audition, placement exam, and communicate directly with the ACSM admissions team.
