Biographical Information:

Elena Blyskal (she/her) is a singer-actor and voice teacher based in New York City. As a performer, favorite credits include Lucille Frank (u/s) in Parade, Jenny in Company, Sibella in Gentleman’s Guide…, Rosalie in School of Rock, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, and Madame Mao (cover) in Nixon in China. She has enjoyed appearances with Kaleidoscope MusArt, Hispanic-American Lyric Theatre, New American Voices, and the soundSCAPE Festival, among others. 

Elena earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where her research interests included mindfulness in the voice studio and cabaret song. She continues to research mental performance skills and frequently presents on this topic to students and teachers alike.  

She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College. 

Elena currently teaches musical theatre voice at Manhattanville University, classical voice at Western Connecticut State University, and Vocal Pedagogy at CUNY Queens College. She has held faculty positions at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Monmouth University, and The College of New Jersey. For more information, please visit elenablyskal.com.
