Master of Music in Composition

Master of Music in Classical Performance

Students in the Master of Music in Composition take individual lessons with our renowned composition faculty and workshop developing material with a community of other composers; opportunities are provided each semester to hear new work performed by select ensembles drawn from current students, recent alumni of our performance programs, and visiting artists. Academic classes provide opportunities for a rigorous engagement with analytic techniques, musicological thought, and music production. Admission is by portfolio, which should include two or three recent works.

Audition Registration Deadline:

The deadline is a week prior to the audition date based on the instrument. For example, if voice auditions are on February 25; the GetAcceptd application deadline will be February 18.
